The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that more than 4,000 undergraduates have qualified for the Spring 2014 Dean's List. The students represent all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, many other states and more than a dozen countries. More than half of the students are Rhode Islanders.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the spring semester 2014. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours. Students on the list from this area are:

Albright College awards its first badge, officially welcoming students to the new Merit program.

Lebanon Valley College's 145th Commencement Exercises May 10 graduated 523 students, who received their degrees in the LVC Gymnasium. The 416 graduating seniors were joined by 29 doctor of physical therapy candidates, 78 master's degree candidates, and 31 students who graduated in December 2013 and have now formally received their degrees.

The State University of New York at New Paltz has announced its Dean's List for the spring 2014 semester. Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

The following Colgate University students are recipients of the Dean's Award for academic excellence during the fall 2013 term at Colgate University. To be eligible for the Dean's Award, a Colgate student must achieve a minumum 3.30 average while enrolled in at least four courses.

A total of 1569 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the fall 2013 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Lebanon Valley College named 658 undergraduates to its Dean's List. The students maintained a 3.4 average out of a possible 4.0.

Lebanon Valley College recognizes the 53 students serving as Valley Ambassadors. Valley Ambassadors provide tours for prospective students and their families.

Approximately 1,100 new students, selected from more than 12,000 applicants, began their studies at SUNY Oneonta this fall. Classes began on Wednesday, Aug. 28. The SUNY Oneonta Class of 2017 is exceptionally talented and diverse, said Roger Sullivan, the college's associate vice president for enrollment management. The freshman class has an average high school grade-point average of 91 and an average combined math and critical reading SAT score of 1135. Acceptances of AALANA (African American, Latino, Asian and Native American) students were up 11.3% this year, and for the first time, AALANA students accounted for 1 in 5 new freshmen and transfer students. Lebanon Valley College's Inquiry 2013 coincided with the Council for Undergraduate Research's week-long celebration of student research and achievement. LVC celebrates the academic, dramatic, athletic, musical, and experiential achievements of the student body. Events began on Sunday, April 14, and concluded Saturday, April 20. Inquiry 2013 included poster presentations, art displays, poetry readings, oral research presentations, and musical recitals. Every academic department on campus nominated students to share their accomplishments during that week.

The following students from the Colgate University Class of 2015 have been inducted into the Colgate chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national scholastic honorary society that recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of first-year students. The approximately 180 students who received the prestigious distinction for having earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the 2011-2012 academic year were honored at a fall banquet.

Lebanon Valley College has named the newest members of its Valley Ambassador team. Valley Ambassadors work with the Office of Admission to conduct campus tours for prospective students and their families. They rely on their own experiences to portray Lebanon Valley to potential and incoming students. All can cite College facts and figures, but the tour focuses more on life at LVC. Local students include:
